Well, the '55 I have been pondering on showed up on ebay this evening:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1955-studebaker-president-coupe-V-8-auto-/150782480098?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item231b560ee2

We talked about it in this thread:

http://forum.studebakerdriversclub.com/showthread.php?59602-It-Was-a-Dark-and-Stormy-Day

And, I put up some pics here:

The seller and I could not quite agree on a price. I am bidding on it, but don't let that stop you if you are interested. If it's meant to be, it will be.

A nice looking car, good luck.

Just one question, What is that front seat out of. (I know bad sentence Structure). Looks almost like a rear seat out of a Suburban or a bus. Just askin'.

Not sure, Bob. I did notice it seemed not to fit just right, or needed some adjustment, but I did not really study it that hard. Had we been closer to a deal, I would have given it a more critical look.

Why do sellers insist on using such crappy pictures?

Seriously! I just don't get it either.

There are warts on the car that I would either repair before presenting, or show clear pictures of.

I also know of some other "issues" that the seller openly told me about. He freely offered information about some things, so I think he's a pretty straight shooter. I don't know if he told the guy that put it up on ebay for him, or not.

I have asked about the front seat, and one or two other issues I am aware of, just to see what kind of answer I get (if any.) Too bad the question/answers are not part of the presentation.

EDIT:

The questions/answers ARE included in the listing, and the Lister/owner answered my questions to the best of his ability, having only owned the car a couple of days.

" the pics speak for them self" I hope he's not paying the lister too much.
