I'd hate to see a truck like that just wither away."Madness...is the exception in individuals, but the rule in groups" - Nietzsche.

What?
You guys haven't gotten it yet? What are you waiting for? I figured you'd have it by sundown.
SDC needs to form a rescue squadron complete with a kitty that members can donate money to. That way, when stuff like this pops up, the rescue squadron can debate whether it's worthy of preservation and can move on it yesterday. Once they've got it, they can find a member who will do right by it.
Just about every state has a historic preservation committee of some sort. They accept donations and use the donated money to rescue endangered historic properties. Once they've got the property, they resell it to someone at a really decent price with strings attached - namely the outward character of the home can't be changed. Some folks have gotten some really decent properties that way. They were allowed to remodel the interiors to their own liking as long as they kept the exterior the same. Win-win all around.
It should work the same way for American cars; these are, after all, our heritage.Mike O'Handley, Cat Herder Third Class

We have seen/heard of said museum here before.
