1937 Studebaker German staff car

A couple of years ago my brother found a resin model kit of a 1937 Studebaker listed on the internet. The kit was made in Romania and the picture on the box had the car painted OD green and was being labeled "Staff Car".
I thought the subject was a little unusual since I had never seen a picture of any Studebaker cars painted OD and being used as staff cars in any books, movies or magazines. Seen lots of other brands done up as staff cars. Has anyone else got a picture of a Studebaker car in use by one of the services during WW 2?
Last week one of the Toy Studebaker Collector Club members sent me the picture below. This is probably the source for the Romanian company using a Studebaker for the kit.
Thought I'd share it with everyone.

Hi Gary,
you must remember that Studebakers and all American cars were held in high regard in Europe as they were generally bullet proof engineering and so reliable compared to the delicate cars Europe produced.

I do know of a 1933 President skway convert sedan that was used as an SS staff car.

My 1933 St Regis was hidden in a bricked up garage in Holland during the war so the Germans would not confiscate it and turn it into a Heinkel or a panzer.

Hi,
I had a closer look at that picture last night.

I would think this is the earlier part of the war 1940-42 as the car is properly decked out in wartime standard features. The car has Dietren type fender lights which sugests it was a Belgium delivered car, that could easily have been sold new in Holland Belgium, France or Luxembourg and confiscated by the Germans. Since it is pretty flat in the picture I think it may be Northern France / Belgium.
