  • Seen "The Studebaker Story" video?

Please don't razz me too hard if it turns out I am the only one who has never seen the "Studebaker Story" video produced by WSBT TV back in 2005 (featuring Richard Quinn). I saw it today on a Museum DVD sent to me (that could have also been around for a long time).

Anyway, take the poll on this as inquiring minds need to know. Thanks!

I can't vpte because you didn't provide a box for those of us who bought it on VHS tape 30 years ago. Still have it around here somewhere.

Whoops, thought you were talking about the PR movie made in the 50s by Studebaker . . . .

Skip, I should have been more clear that the video in question is NOT the one from the 50s. Mr. Quinn can probably fill us in on the genesis of the WSBT TV production. It really is a great half-hour program and very professionally executed.

I thought it was the 50's movie also. I've got that on VHS somewhere.

I saw the "Studebaker Story""Studebaker Plant Story" presentation this afternoon at the Studebaker National Museum. Hopefully, they will repeat that live presentation during SDC-IM Meet Week this summer so many, many more will be able to see it.

That's not the program/video to which I am referring.

Yes, that was a production of WSBT TV in South Bend. It was made in 2007 for the opening of the new museum. They brought the production crew here to Mokena to tape the interview. They also had past employees and others involved. The overall production was well done I think in spite of the fact that I had entirely too much air time! The museum used to have the video running as a continuous play in the lobby for a number of years. The photo above was taken by one of the crew during a lighting check.

The SNM should have it for sale on dvd, that's where I bought mine.

Well, then maybe it was the latest Studebaker National Museum video I starred in.

How many have seen that one???

Believe the world-wide release date on that video was late 2004. The producer of that work was Villing & Co. Hey, that reminds me, I haven't seen a royalty check lately!
