1963 Studebaker Lark Dash - value

I have a nice 1963 Studebaker dash with gauges and vanity with an uncracked dash pad in brown. Almost perfect, but slight burn mark near ashtray.

I understand that these are not available anymore.

I am wondering how much I should let it go for.

You should sell it to me CHEAP!! Seriously, When you decide what you want for it I am interested in it for the 63 sedan I am picking up in the next few weeks. Nice ones are hard to find. Thanks, Steve

If the melted spot is above the ash tray and no wider (higher) than about 3/32" you can cover it with the Stainless Steel Ash Tray guard from a late '64-'66 Lark Type.

BTW, you can reproduce those guards from the stainless GT Hawk sill plates. One sill will make quite a few guards and the lip protects the dash.

I get calls for these all the time, I have none in stock because they are very few and far in between. I'd guess a good one may hit well over 500 on ebay, you never know.

Rockne10, when was this when you bought that Cruiser, and how is the dash?

JDP, you really cut up rare sill plates rather than buy flat stainless stock and drill 2 holes?

Remember, perfect but with a flaw is like selling a once rust-free car that now has rust...or a high dollar paint job that just got keyed.

With cigarette burn, big difference from perfect. Top dollar for anything is based upon that one or two percent of perfection not obtainable elsewhere.

FYI - I sold a brown one without the gauge cluster, vanity, ash tray and end cap for $150 a few years ago. It had a major crack and cigarette burns around the ash tray.

sold a very nice green dash, fully gauged for $200. maybe 5 years ago. Bought a very nice black one, very small odd crack 3 years ago for $200. Got a 63' Cruiser rust bucket for $800. (my winter beater) that has a nice, uncracked dash in it now that I'll likely save given my 63' histories.......so
I'd say for a super nice car that needs to stay original, may require dyeing (which goes on nicely from a can) a colored dash.......$300. .....but you're in Canada which puts another factor to the deal...
