Anyone use Rod Doors interior panels for their truck? I'm looking for the pro's and con's...

My friend purchased a set for his '56 Transtar.
When he attempted a set for a '47 M series he found this message on the Rod Doors web site:

    "dear friends,
thank you for your loyal support over the years. we just could not hold on long enough to get thru this rough stretch of road. We are out of business effective 11/04/2009. someone will purchase some of the molds and continue to produce a few of the many products that we use to make. Who that is and when they will be available is unknown even to us at this time.
Even when you know your in the same boat as many others (without a paddle, a rudder, a sail or a bucket) it still is not any easier."

Has anyone picked up their molds and resumed production?

Yes, I have seen that message and I emailed them. They are still in business but have no employees and are still supplying interiors just not at a high production. How did the '56 Transtar turn out?

Took a little finessing but, what doesn't? Looks good and will never be affected by moisture.

I'll tell my friend to contact him again.

John, Did you order a headliner from Rod Doors? I'm trying to figure out what I am going to do for a headliner in my truck

Have not ordered yet, so many things to spend money on... But I think I will go with them. I like their solution just have not decided if I want to just paint the panels or cover with fabric. Also, before I get to the interior I need to fix the doors and anything else that leaks
