  • Wheels / Tires: Cragars

Any idea what the going price is for a set of 4 Cragars to fit a Studebaker Lark type?

If you're talking the Cragar S/S, Summit Racing is selling them for about $158 each for a 15"x6". You might see if a local speed shop can match or beat that price. Other vendors might be worth a look as well.

Discount Tire / America's Tire can get them for about $120, last I checked.

A few years back I bought several off ebay at great prices. Some were new.

Thanks for the info. There's a '64 for sale locally that has both the original wheels and a set of Cragars on the car. Just checking to see what sort of "rebate" selling the cragars would fetch if I picked up the car.

Something to think about with Cragar S/S wheels...at least older ones. I used to sell them years ago and was surprised at the poor quality control. They had such a great name but the chrome plating tended to peel and rust would start. Maybe that's a thing of the past now. There are many, many sport wheel designs and makers now...if Cragar hasn't improved their quality control they would likely be gone by now.

            Just sayin'.

Barney has a set of those Cragars from the 70s and they are ruuuuuuuuuusty. I'll likely replace them with a chrome-reverse / baby Moon combo.
