Couple hundred bucks more than any other 289...
Add the value of an aluminum cam gear, R1 cam, and the number stamped into the block....HTIH (Hope The Info Helps)

The Value is more about CONDITION, Condition, condition, than anything else like 259, 289 or Jet Thrust 289.
5. Stuck?
4. Turns but not running?
3. Maybe COULD RUN?
2. Running?

How complete is it? If it has good chrome, the AFB intake and carb, I'd pay $500 for one any day.
As to condition, unless you personally know the builder and personally know the owner, assume you're buying a core engine which needs a complete rebuild. I've found this to be true more often than not. Don't invest much money in unsubstantiated legends:
1. "The guy I bought it from told me it was rebuilt by a top NASCAR race shop."
2. "It was running good when he wrecked the car."
3. "The guy I bought it from said he spent $3000 just on parts."
4. "It's got less than 10,000 miles on it."
5. "That Stude guru down in Georgia built this engine for his own Avanti."
Your results may vary.
