My 1955 had a 12 volt electric conversion when I purchased it. Someone had an over the counter 12 volt AM/FM instaled under the dash. The old 12 volt radio broke and I replaced it this weekend with a Dual XD7500 from Wall Mart. It sound great, I took a 12 volt line off the selenoid and used a 10 amp fuse at the selenoid. Then the ign switch to radio is fused 7 Amp , the radio came with a 10 amp fuse mounted on the chasis of the radio. I might add the car has two rear mounted speakers( done in a nice looking fashion ). This sucker has a disk slot and a remote. Studebaker is HIGH TEC even to this day.
