I really enjoy the old street scenes and especially when there is a Studebaker connection (as in this one). Most old photo cards are labeled as to location but this one is an exception. Does anyone recognize this town? The photo came from Kansas but the town could be anywhere. Studebaker and Chevrolet make for an unusual combination but I have seen maybe 4-5 of these dual dealerships over the years.

Judging by the vegetation: I'm willing to bet that scene was shot in a '4 season' area. California, Florida and most of Arizona or Texas would have palm trees.--------------------------------------
Sold my 1962; Studeless at the moment
Borrowed Bams50's sigline here:
"Do they all not, by mere virtue of having survived as relics of a bygone era, amass a level of respect perhaps not accorded to them when they were new?"

I'm most impressed with the fact that the automobiles are parked diagonally at the curb! Somebody suggested that for this town and there is the proof! POOF!!
I would suggest to ask Richard Quinn (the photographer) or someone related to his archives to discover
what community this might be...Last edited by JimsLeadCommander; 12-28-2011, 11:06 PM.JimsLeadCommander
