63 Avanti Glass vs Plastic Headlight Covers

How much do excellent glass headlight covers add to the value of a 63 Avanti?

I sold a pair recently on eBay for $680, so hopefully more than that.



My GUESS, however, is zero. There are SO many other things that can impact the price of an Avanti, that JUST glass headlight covers probably won't effect it.

If you are doing a car to resell, I wouldn't even consider it. If you are doing the car for your own personal enjoyment and it would bug you to have the plexi covers, then go for them.

Zero, if the seller does not mention the plastic replacements on the ebay ad, maybe as much as $200 on nice car.

Back in the 70's I had two 63 Avanti's. I removed the glass one's and replaced them with plastic when I used them as drivers. If I went to a show the glass one's were put back. I didn't want to take a chance of a rock breaking the glass ones.
