Fifty-Eight Years ago (Christmas 1953), this would have been your personal, embossed card:

And two years hence (1955) it would have said:

Palma-Rhoads Motors

Packard - Nash - Studebaker

...but there is no record of them having created and sent a 1955 card...and on August 1, 1956, they were belly-up upon Packard's demise.

Oh, well....the sentiment is the same, be it 1953 or 1955 or 2011:

MERRY CHRISTMAS to ALL, and to ALL a GOOD NIGHT. BP

Merry Christmas to you, too, Bob. It's been a wonderful year. Finished a four year effort to get my Stude on the road, and then hit the road with it. Met you and all the great Stude supporters at the PSMCDs and have my multi autographed Owners Manual to prove it. See you in South Bend in July!

I remember your being there, Dave, and what a sweet '55 you had to keep the eyeballs peeled toward Studebaker-land.

How far was it to The Drags from Barrie? BP

The names Milt and Studebaker go well together!

That would be my opinion, Milt...and I wish my Uncle Milt was here to see this. BP

I had Paul (55s) with me, too, Bob. I think Mid-Michigan was just over 500 miles. South Bend will be just over 700. I've done it thrice in my Legend Coupe for the May swap meets. This will be the first South Bend run for the 55 since it has been back on the road. It's a South Bend car, so it should feel at home :)
