That poor thing has been on the market well over two years. All that time it has been sitting in some back yard, sunk into the lawn, with no driver's window, open to the elements. Price was always firm at $3995. Now someone's moved it and cleaned it up some, and it looks much better. But knowing its history I'd want a good look at the frame and floors before making any offer.

That was once a beautiful car. I hope somebody can save it soon, before it's too far gone.

The plate tells me that it has been out there for at least 20 years.

I'm not sure what those graphs mean, but a car sunk low enough to be sitting directly on the ground in a grassy backyard, which is where I saw it on CL several times, can turn a frame to powder no matter where it is.

Well Bob, allow me to spell it out for ya~

My excellent high school education tells me that one of those graphs shows very nice temps, and the other shows very little rain fall there in Pasco, WA. Basic geography teaches that Pasco is on the OTHER side of the Cascade Mountains from Seattle.

My NAVY education tells me that one of the key factors needed for corrosion (AND rust) is water.

          As for the pictures~
I never saw what you describe when I looked at the past ads on my 'puter. Being that I'm mostly 'puter-dumb, all I can guess is that something must be wrong with one of our 'puters, eh?

          No worries either way though-
I have a perfectly good '57 Packard frame (and many others) in my backyard...
          Don't you?

I am truly amazed at the ability of people to recall individual Craigslist ads and remember how long they have been running. Personally, I can't even remember what the last item was that I listed for sale on Craigslist.

The ability of some to describe the condition and pitfalls of a vehicle without a personal inspection borders on pure psychic genius. I could certainly use that type of help when picking my lottery numbers...
