  • Woody wagon restoration at the SNM

Via the Turning Wheels and communication with SNM personnel, it sounds like there have been unexpected expenses with the Woody Wagon project. While still on target to be done by the 2012 International Meet, donations will be appreciated.

At our Ohio Region SDC Christmas banquet yesterday, I motioned to have $500 donated to the Woody project at the Museum, and it passed overwhelmingly. This is in addition to the $500 we had committed to previously for care of the Avanti prototypes.

While we had some grumbling, I noted that we had a good bit of money in our treasury that just sits there, with no objectives.

Might be a good idea to see if there's some room in your regional SDC's treasury to help out the Woody project as well.

Personally, I think this would be a good way to honor the memory of Phil Brown, too, who was so instrumental in the project.

    Thanks!
