Engine: Avanti R2 question

I have a 63 R2 and I can't get the carburetor sealed up right now so I took the belts off. Will the engine run ok without the blower till I can get it sealed up or do I have to adjust anything? thanks Tom

KoolR2 does it all the time on the way to the PSM drags and back. It is a good idea to put a piece of tape over the carb bonnet vent to keep the flapper from flapping as the engine revs change.
