  • bucket seats for the lark?

I love the bench but I am wondering ( for the future maybe) if there is a bucket seat for the front when I decide to change up.

For the Lark your building, I'd say something like these.

I have a set from a second generation Ford Probe. The front mounts need stands made but the rear ones mount flat on the floor (i used a 1/2" space to raise them a little). I got a set that matched my black interior for only $30 from a Pick-A-Part on a half price weekend. They had hardly any wear and tear. They have thin backs and bottoms so the seats don't overwhelm the interior like some bigger seats can. They are all manual (and recline), but the driver's seat has inflatable air bladders! A bonus is a mount for the seat belt receiver buckle (is that what you call it?).

To my eye, Larks do not take later bucket seats well. I recommend some stock Daytona seats and console, like these:

I put '94 V.W Golf front seats in my car. If you remove the headrests (They really don't look good) they are about the same hieght as the original bench seat, more comfortable, and pretty cheap. Be ready to fab brackets though, I'm still getting the last little kinks out of mine (They have curved bottoms, and totally different brackets for the floor. )

Anybody know what kind of car these seats are from? This is a picture of that 62 Daytona that was on Ebay recently:

They seem to match the Lark vinyl interior pretty well.

I like those buckets too. Lots of the modern buckets are comfortable, but they look out of place in an old car. I especially dislike the tall seats with head rests sticking up.

That was the yellow Lark with the bumpers Bondoed over. I thought those were probably original seats, reupholstered in a custom design.

Stock Hawk? I considered the idea of a stock seat, but somehow they just didn't look quite right. That would explain why they seem to fit so well and the console. The back looks thin, but it has been many years since I had my GT and I haven't studied any of their seats in a long time.
