    Couple of Stude's

    As my daughter just needed to go back to her former high school to
    attend the cermonies and then go with friends to "safe grad night"
    on a Hornblower yacht in San Diego Bay. While waiting for the buses
    to return to the Ramona High School lot, this morning....I spied a 1959
    (?) only because of that coral/pink color and the wrap around tail lights,
    lark with a black ragtop....course I didn't have my camera with me and
    it was to dark for the cell to take a picture, but just think a high school
    senior is driving a "Stude"......

    Then as I was "blitzing" on US 60, in the "Zone", on the way home this
    afternoon, I spied a 1950's pickup for sale in either Wenden or Aquila,
    since I was burning daylight I have no other info, if anybody is interested,
    I can take a field trip back and see if I can find it and take pictures, as
    it was right along the side of US 60 in plain sight.

        No nothing wrong with that, it just caught me off guard
        mainly in this part of the "left Coast"....where trucks
        and imports rule the rural high school lot.

            Am I reading this right? There is a Senior at Ramona High School who drives (or at least that night) drove a Lark 'vert to school? How cool is that, and why don't they belong to the club here?
            We do have a 'Coral' '59 Lark in these parts that I know of, but it's a 4 door...

            BTW~ if you take the HornBlower (or that 'other' Harbor Tour) during the day, look for my '65 Cruiser parked near the boat ramp at Hanger 340 on NAS North Island. I work in the smaller building next to it (Bldg 346) and as such get to "Power" park on the Bay everyday... [:0]
            There are no lines, so I am usually parked very sideways!!!! [^]

                Nahhh, nothing wrong with a senior driving a 59 Lark to high school, considering this former (very former) senior drove his 64 Lark to high school!! Not imports at the time, but it was major Camaro and large truck country, lol. [:O)]

                    I drove my brother's '57 Silver Hawk one day, but don't tell him though, 'cuz he doesn't know about how I ran it out of gas doing a 'smokey burn out' that afternoon in the parking lot!!!! [:0] [V] [^]

                        That's right StudeDave....it was parked right there at the
                        Ramona HS parking lot, with it's top up and waiting for their
                        owner to return...someone aboard 1 of the 5 buses.

                            Not to spoil the good times but if it was a ragtop then it was a 1960, no ragtops were built in 59.
