We will first need to know what wheelbase he needs. A two door sedan is different than a two door C/K.

He indicated that it is a 2-dr hdtp cpe...he said he thought that is was interchangeable up to 1959....he also thought that the later frame was built stronger...he wants to use it for racing...

That would be a K body with a 120.5 inch wheelbase. You can use up through a 1964 C/K frame with minor modifications, such as rear springs. The later frames are a heavier gauge than the 1953 frame.
