We held a club run yesterday to veiw a members Convertible GT. He has owned this car for many years and is just finishing a rebuild. It has a solid removable top. Cheve LS1 motor, push button Auto. I am sure it took a while to wipe the drool of it after we left.Click image for larger version

Very nice, removing the top on a GT is a BIG improvement.

Is it a convertible for real? I couldn't see the hood folded up in any of those shots. Still a real nice car that you wouldn't want to drive with the top up anyways. Great pictures.

Well, that's all very nice, But if one's gonna go to all that trouble - why wouldn't one put the steering wheel on the right side??? Wait - did I say "right"? I meant CORRECT side.

There was a real hack job of a topless GT in the Fresno area for a time. T'wasn't near as nice as this mustard-colored one tho.

I'm surprised that he scrapped the GT Hawk dash in favor of an older Hawk dash.

Easier to convert to RHD than a GT dash?

As I said, it has a solid removable roof, but he is thinking of making a fibre glass early Hawk roof for it.

Wow, very impressive build. Would love to see a detailed spread in Turning Wheels.

I am reasonably sure that this car would have been a RHC Australian car to start with.
