The Whattoff Brothers invented the Trailer Toter with the adjustable frame. Later the name was changed to the Whattoff Toter due to the negative conotations of the word "trailer." They were a Studebaker dealer and used Studebaker trucks in their operations, but also International and GMC trucks. Feelings were hurt when Studebaker tried to produce its own "toters" as the Whattoffs had purchased many Studebaker trucks over the years and had little or no warning when Studebaker tried to produce what they considered to be counterfit toters. It seems the Studebaker toters were not all that successful when all was said and done. Whattoff Motors was in Ames, Iowa, as was the Toter manufacturing site. I think the following was also on the H.A.M.B. :

'65 Cruiser
