My wife saw a gold 57 Silver Hawk today. Was that available from the factory or was that the owners decision to have it repainted that color? I just have never seen gold on anything other than a Golden Hawk.

I've seen a silver Golden Hawk too. Paint's cheap and it's 54 years now since '57 Hawks were built - probably had several paint jobs along the way.No deceptive flags to prove I'm patriotic - no biblical BS to impress - just ME and Studebakers - as it should be. -
The model of the car has nothing whatever to do with the available colors.
All of the '57 Studebaker Colors on the Paint charts were available on all models except Scotsman. There were plenty of Gold Silver hawks, the most popular color was White, very few were Silver.StudeRich
