Just got this in my email.

I can explain what a Starlight Coupe is but think Mel needs more info than I have available.

I have forwarded this thread URL to Mel. Hopefully he will join us.

"Hello I just purchased a 1936 Studebaker three window coupe, no motor or tranny. It looks just like the one in hot rod mag. called a dictator, but then I see this starlite coupe, what the difference?. Mine has a place for a spare tire just behind the pass seat if that makes a difference, hope to hear from you , need to know before I apply for a title. The vin may tell me ,just thought of that, hope to hear from you , thanks, Mel Hardeman Okla. city

I think if Mel has a problem deciding if he has a '36Dictator or a Starlite coupe, he needs drastically better reference material![}]

    Miscreant at large.

    1957 Transtar 1/2ton
    1960 Larkvertible V8
    1958 Provincial wagon
    1953 Commander coupe
    1957 President 2-dr
    1955 President State
    1951 Champion Biz cpe
    1963 Daytona project FS
No deceptive flags to prove I'm patriotic - no biblical BS to impress - just ME and Studebakers - as it should be.
