    Avanti first long run

    We took our '71 Avanti 2 on first long run last weekend.

    The car ran very well. We done 563 miles (906 klm) without a problem and got 17.6mpg (UK gal)

    My wife loves the car. We were sick of answering questions about the Avanti by the time we were home. (there are not a lot of Avantis here in Oz)

          Jim, these are the only other pics I have of the interior at the moment. Under the hood, its really crowded but whoever done it ,done a good job. It drives well.

              Yes well it almost felt like a ride to the next town! I am not used to all these creature comforts in a Stude. Thinking I might fit cruise control just to top it off.

                Looks like fun - I spent a year (1986-87) along the Murray River in South Australia, just across the border from Mildura - the last photo brings back memories...
