I have a 1962 GT Hawk VIN 62V 24307. I want to rebuild the front suspension in the Spring so I am collecting parts. I will replace the upper A arm bushings but am confused as follows:
On page 374 of the Chassis Parts Catalog, 1204 - Front Suspension, Illustration number 1204-44 has two entries for the bushings. Part number 155430 is designated for serial #'s BEFORE 10608 and part number 529268 is designated for serial #'s AFTER. So according to the Chassis Parts Catalog, my car (62V 24307) should use part number 529268
The new SI catalog, page 274 only lists part number 1553430 and says it is for all 55-66 cars, all models.
What is the difference (if any) between the two part numbers in the Chassis Parts Catalog and can I use the bushings marketed by SI?
