  • Commander

I believe there is a two door commander in the Super U-pull It wrecking yard in Albuquerque, NM. row C-8. I am not sure of the year but it looks like mid fifties. The front clip is missing and the only glass is the passenger side door. The body looks straight and it has the flat head six. It looks like someone was in the middle of restoring it and gave up. If anyone is interested please go and look. I have no room for another vehicle and I don't have the extra time/moneys. Neal

Whish I could give you more but, I don't live in Albuquerque and I am not sure when I will go back. It does have the heater core in the floor on the passengers side. The rear fenders are missing. The interior is missing. I know it is a champion motor. I wish I had taken down the numbers on the motor. If my memory serves me, it remindes me of my brothers two door commander with the individual window in the rear. If someone is interested the phone number of the place is (505) 248-9899. If I get back there soon I will take a harder look. Neal

Hmmmm... For the rear fenders to be "missing", it would have to be a 55 or earlier! 56-7-8, they'd have to be CUT off to be gone![:0]

How about a C body from 1953 to 1961. He does mention that it is a two door with "the individual window in the rear." What confuses me is that it is referred to as a Commander, but has a Champion engine.

The fly in your ointment, Nate, is a single-piece rear glass (if we've interpreted that correctly). The years you mention all had at least 2 pieces to the rear glasses.
