What happened to all of the Great Pictures that used to be posted on the forum.
They seemed to have disappeared since "Eye Candy" was withdrawn from our daily routine????
I ahve not grabbed any for my "Studebaker Album" for a very long time.
    Good roads

Give me a couple of weeks. You'll be sick of seeing station wagons.

A couple of weeks ago when I was driving my car at day break the sun had turned all the trees the goldest gold I have seen in a long time, so I whipped into Heritage Park to take advantage of the light and shoot a couple of photos...only forgot my camera...so had to use my phone camera. Now I just have to figure out how to down load the pictures off of my camera but keep forgetting to get one of my daughters to show me how to it. When I download them off the phone I will share. Maybe we should restart 'eye candy', and all contribute instead when ever we can? Champtrucking's eye candy was sure fun while it lasted. Cheers, Junior.

I will start for today. Here is a picture of my 64 Cruiser, just north of Santa Barbara. Took the picture when my wife and I were out for a Sunday afternoon drive. It is my wallpaper at work.

Here is something to help hold you over Brian.

a very nice 57 golden hawk that I sold for a friend about a year ago.

Different picture than I was expecting, but nice and clear.
I don't want to tell you how to restore your car.....but for years I have always taken that tiny bit of extra effort required to "Mask & Paint" all of the Small brake parts before assembly (everything! shoes, wheel cylinders, springs, bars, clips, bolts, etc.)
This stops things from rusting up inside your hubs (mask off the brake surface and paint the inside of you hubs too) as moisture does occur.
This practice has worked for me for years.
The best testiment to this was when I returned from a trip to Bonniville where I had to drive my Stude thru about a foot of salt water to get out to the pits. The first thing I did when I got home a couple of weeks later, was to pull my wheels and hubs to clean up the rusty mess I was anticipating......But to my delight, the brakes looked like they did when I originally installed them 3 years previous. A quick blow with the air hose to clean up some minimal brake dust and I was good to go.
It Works and it is worth the effort.

How about 2 custom Larks in the same place and same time! Pre-Pileup party in Clinton, StudeRodder owns the other car in the pic.

OK, I can't promise a daily "dose", but I've got plenty of pix of nice Studes, so will try restarting Eye Candy. Stay tuned for a separate post with the first subject car...

                          Brian,

thanks for the advice. it doesn't show too well but the shoes are actually covered in a non-gloss clear powdercoat. It is an experiment and I hope it holds in the higher temps of the brakes.

The clips are clear and the bolts have a conventional clearcoat varnish.

It is as you said: It is worth the extra effort
