  • Electrical: Interior light problems

I've got the light working on the mounted switch & drivers door only switch ,but when I hook up the passenger side switch it blows the fuse.I have tried several switches with the same results. With the switch not attached to the body & button in on position the whole switch is alive & test light comes on when grounded from switch to car body. The drivers door switch is the same but does not blow fuse when mounted to body,as stated I have tried several switches
they can't all be bad.Any ideas as to what the problem is ? Oh FYO it's for a GT Hawk

Your dome light operates by the door switches grounding the lamp when the door opens, evidently something is hooked up wrong on the pass. side switch circuit.
