If you read this ad, and by the way its not mine, its rather saddening that this guy would crush this rare car if he did not sell it. I wish I had the spare cash, or I would go get it. Take a look, as maybe someone here would need it, it looks rather complete. Good luck. I hope it would get saved.

1958 studebaker 4door 8,auto - $900 (spfd)

These kind of ads are annoying. So, the guy wants $900 and if he doesn't get that he'll crush it for $250-300? Why not just sell it for $3-400, let the car get saved, and get more money than he would for scrap- and make a Studebaker lover happy at the same time??

Also love how he randomly puts value on the parts. Title $250?? LOL. Maybe he doesn't think anyone ever checks prices of these things.

Hopefully somebody will make a deal and save it in spite of the lame threat tactic.

BTW, here's a 58 that didn't get a bid at $499. Sure, it's a Champion, but it's in better shape, and being in CO there's a good chance it's pretty solid:

RE: The original Craigslist ad. There are several Studebakers in the background, so this guy has some knowledge of the make; not a babe in the woods on Studebakers. BP

Around here a clean title raises the value of a vehicle a minimum of $250.
It isnt uncommon for owners to fork over $500 to avoid bonding a car and Minnesota does not accept titles from places like Broadway.
If I could get $450.00 for Twin Traction rear ends I would start saving them.

That ad has been up for nearly a year that I know of.

Right, but this guy's listing the title like it's another part that can just be switched to another car, which is of course illegal.
