  • 62 Hawk Air Condtioning

A fellow chapter member has a 62 GT Hawk with a/c. The tensioning pulley is missing. The problem is that is appears to differ from the ones shown on plate AC-13 of the Body Parts catalog. Instead of mounting on a slotted hole on the bracket it mounts in a single round hole. It must be similiar to a supercharger tensioner. Does anyone know what this tension pulley looks like and where to get one?

    Thanks

The pulley is offset in relation to the mounting hole so as you rotate it it adjusts the belt tension, tighten the bolt in the hole to secure it.They used to be common and are still used in truck and schoolbus applications, ask me how I know, check with AC installers they may have one laying around. You might also check "Vintage air" web catalog for a listing.
