Sure...if the blunderbird won't get outta th' way...just tunnel under him! (That's the way I want to interpret it.)

Guess the TBird had more lift than the Hawk.

Do you suppose the Tbird has "overdrive"?

Fibreglas front end on the T-bird? Notice the headlight "blanks."

I may know who owned the car. A friend of mine who I helped on his crew running Winston Cup in the late 80's raced at El Cajon before he raced cup. (He also won the Baja race 3 times) I asked if he ever raced a Studebaker and he said he was at a junk yard one day and saw a old Studebaker race car. He purchased the car and when someone wanted to drive he let them drive the Studebaker. His name is Mark Stahl

Good ol' El Cajon Speedway!!!! I've spent many a Saturday Night at that there 3/8s mile~ It's a shame that it got ripped up. Thankfully Sweet Pea got a lap or two 'round it before hand.
                Yes- parade laps count.

I remembered he named the car Hopper because it "hopped" thru the corners.
