What is the distance (clearance) between the crankshaft seal retainer found on the inside of the timing gear cover and the timing gear on the crankshaft. Perhaps more precisely the distance to the dish-shaped piece (can't remember its name) on the crankshaft gear to the seal retainer.
I am still trying to replace the felt seal with a modern seal and as usual, things ain't working right!
