    Bad restoration shop

    I spent the day today looking over a 53 coupe that had been screwed up my a restoration shop. I've been retained as a expert witness against a shop that had the car in for some work. They basically took a condition 2 coupe with a R3 clone engine/4 speed setup and made it into a parts car. That sand blasted the car to bare metal, then left it to the elements, and pulled the front of the engine off and did the same, then abandoned the job. They were contracted to just repaint the car and build a custom AC setup, what a shame.

    Are they a "restoration" shop or just a body shop? Shop location?

        If John has been retained as an expert witness, I suspect this is going to litigation. It would be inappropriate to identify principals before a judicial finding.
        If I were the owner of the shop, I would venture to guess it would suck to be me.[xx(]

                I can safely say it was not a Studebaker specific restoration shop and it's a few hours from me.
