  • Body / Glass: Inner fender patched now prime and seam sealer or seam and prime???

I have nearly finished the welding up of all the holes on the right side of the floor, the inner fender and some of the trunk on right rear of my Lark. It may look like a patchwork quilt but it is solid

Now to seal the seams and paint or is it seal the seams, prime then paint. It has been about two decades since I last did some automotive paint work

    thanks

    Jeff T.

Friend of mine has a shop. He uses an SEM two-part seam sealer. Seems to me he primes, seam seals, then paints. I'll try to remember to ask him tomorrow.

etch prime first, then seam seal, then a GOOD 2 part epoxy primer, and use a 2 part seam seal if you can find some, (about $35 a tube) but well worth it.
