3/4" X 16 would be the front spindle nut. 7/8" X 14 is correct for the rear axle nut.

I was planning to order two new axle nuts and when it said {size] my book says 3/4 by 16. The parts vendor says for a 1955 Champ they should be 7/8 by 14. ???? Did the previous owner mess up? I am not near my car so I can't check. -
