That red and black '30 President Tourer was restored in the '60's and still exists in a museum in south Georgia.

So were there any four year old Studes entered in the show?

I certainly do though I was just a small child at the time!! My dash plaque below. Have not missed one since 1968 so this was my 3rd. Speaking of dash plaques has anyone out there tried to accumulate a complete collection? I need to go thru mine to see what is missing. I know I have most of them.

As a followup to Matthew's statement on the two '29 President touring cars I remember them well. One belonged to South Bend resident Irv Nowacki and the second to Milford Barker of Brecksville, Ohio. The former now belongs to Rex Miltenberger of Niles, MI and the latter to Wayne Hadden of Cairo, GA.

Certainly correct. It looks quite stately next to his 3 other Presidents.

Most likely the Proving Ground, I'll bet.

Bob, You're the first one that I am aware of that has checked the QR (Quick Response) tag. I use them as a REALTOR. They are on my yard signs, my web site and any place I advertise on the net and on print adds. They are very easy to create, and free. If anyone has an interest send me an email and I'll pass on the free site and how to create them.

I wonder how many of the show cars are still around and in what shape?

I wonder what the man visible just above the trunk of the maroon '54 coupe has over his shoulder? Sort of looks like a shoulder mount VHS video camera but those didn't exist in '70...

Back when that meet was held, I was still driving my rusty 59 Lark and didn't even know the SDC existed. Old Spot and membership in the SDC came in 1971.

I wouldn't be suprised. I remember later meets when people showed new Avanti IIs. I always thought that was strange.

I remember in 1983, Gary Johnson, (who was an Avanti dealer at the time), took delivery of a brand-new Avanti, drove it down the street a few blocks to the Concours and had it judged!
