I've replaced the floorboards and body braces on two CKs and my friend has done one. We both got a similar result on all three cars. With the body set on the frame with no isolators, the end of the batwing contacts the underside of the body bracket under the A post such that the clearance on most of the other mounting spots is about 3/8 to 1/2 inch. Although we are both careful and meticulous, it is possible that the floors around the A post are in too low. Before I do anything to correct the car I am now working on I was going to ask, is it expected that the isolator on the end of the batwing under the Apost should be thinner than all the rest?

I noticed the same thing on a 'K' I replaced the floorboards and body braces on recently. I just shimmed it up accordingly with rubber. The end product was great. Everything lines up, and the doors open & close like a tank.
