Electrical: 1955 Studebaker President Cpe horn question

I am trying to resolve this issue so if anyone has been through it before please offer me a suggestion. 55 with power steering. My mechanic tells me that the steering shaft is not grounded. I have printed out the steering column and it does not appear to have a rag joint. Anyone have any similar experience?

On a saginaw power steer car there is no rag joint. There is a coupler between the box and column . The horn wire comes thru a contact on the side of the mast, just above the coupler. If your horn isn't working check the contact and accompanying wires.
