Went to Owls Head Saturday for the annual Antique car and aerial acrobatics show at the Owls Head Transportaion museum. What a great show! Four Studes including me in my 62 Convertible, Paul Spaulding in his 61 Hawk, a 51 (didn't get his name), and a 29 President (also didn't get his name). Best air show I've ever seen with bi and tri planes and a WWII Corsair and P40 and one of only two Japanese Zeroes flying today. Amongst other things, they did a simulated dog fight. I could imagine the feelings experienced when the sound of that Zero was coming at you back in the early '40"s! I took my 11 year old grandson who didn't want to leave! The 62 performed flawlessly on the 400 mile round trip.
