Has anyone had problems with the SI chrome oil breather caps.Mine won't go on,they're too tight.Do they need a little tap or send'em back?

    Common problem.
    Chrome adds thickness.
Both on the caps, and on the valve covers.
    Work on them yourself.
Sending them back will not change things one bit.

Thanks that's what I was hoping. Is it better to remove chrome from the vent tube or file ID of the cap?

T'were it me, I'd take my die grinder sanding rolls and do the inside of the cap...
