  • Speedster Tease

I'll be listing a exceptional Speedster for a forum member in a few weeks, and just got two tease pictures that hint at what a beauty she's be.

Pretty indeed. What is a ballpark figure for 1 this nice 30-50K? Saw one of these in Fremantle, owned by Brian "Tiny" Turner who sadly died recently. His has been converted into RHD and looks like a factory job.

I'm sure the reserve is less than the restoration cost, and very fair, details to follow.

Nice catch on the LA thing, I bet some are wondering how you knew at a glance.

"President" gold script n the quarter in addition to the "Speedster" script on the butterknife
SB Speedsters didn't have "President" anywhere except on the trunk handle that I'm aware of

Exceptionally nice car, but since it is not lemon/lime, I won't be a bidder ;>)

oh- two tone instead of three- pink roof
dunno if thats LA specific though and I don't recall ever seeing one like this

I believe it being one of the body colors inside the trunk; not the Loma Gray that South Bend cars would have been. But, the gold 'President' script on the rear quarter was the dead giveaway for me.

My Canadian '55 was body color in the trunk [originally Pima Red now Black]
No traces of gray at all, even when sanded down to bare metal

Anyone know which Turning Wheels issue featured the 55 Speedsters?
