Looked at a couple '65 Commanders in NC today
Answered a local ad where a guy had two '65 4-door Commanders for sale for $1K. They need too much work for a man of my limited mechanical and body work talents so we didn't get to the price negotiation phase. But I've heard '65models are not over abundant. Both would need total restoration. Or, since one has a 283 engine and a rough body, while the other has what appeared to be a decent body but is missing the original 6 cyl engine, they could probably be combined into one decent vehicle. Both cars are 3-speed on the column. The owner is a personable guy named "Lee" who lives in a rural area outside Lenoir, NC. He was working on fixing up a Champ p/u for himself.
