Does anyone have any information about the following former Studebaker dealerships:
Zacharias Motors, Inc.
413-15 South Market St.
Mechanicsburg, PA
B.N. Rider Motors, Inc.
407 South Cameron St.
Harrisburg, PA
Charles B. Rider Motors, Inc.
415 South Market St.
Mechanicsburg, PA
As far as I can gather, Zacharias Motors became Charles B. Rider Motors sometime in 1959 and sold Studebakers at least until 1963. They possibly became a Mercury dealer as well around 1963 or 64. What was the relationship, if any, to B.N. Rider Motors? Obviously he was a relation of Charles, but it appears the B.N. Rider dealership may have closed around the time Charles took over Zacharias. Can anyone confirm or disprove any of my theories? I have recently acquired some of these dealers sales records from about 1956-1963 and am trying to piece together the puzzle I have before me. Thanks.
