Can the choke heater tube on a 4 bbl intake manifold for a 289 engine (as shown on page 77 of the Chassis Parts Catalog) be replaced? If so, who would be a vendor for the choke heater tube?

I do not have my book open, so I can't tell you which style you are referring to.
But, if it is the u-loop tube....Yes it can be replaced.
The u-loop tube is held in a wedge shaped plug (think beaker stopper plug).
You can drive the plug (including the u-loop tube...it's all one piece) out of the intake from the inside of the heat crossover with a long knockout punch.
I have seen NOS tube and plug assemblies for sale on vendor tables from time to time.
I have some extra used ones of you need one.
