  • 60 Lark hot rod in Car Craft

Found this tastefully rodded Lark hardtop in the Car Craft "Street Machines" section:

I know not everyone likes modified Studes, but you've got to admire how smooth this one is. [8D]

Very nicely done indeed []. It's like a Corvette with a nice looking body [8D]. I like how he kept the Corvette wheels also.

I have to admit that I am one of those guys that doesn't like modified cars, especially if the car still has the potential to be restored stock However, this is probably one of the best looking modified cars I have seen. Nice job!

                For me it's a tossup.
A greatly improved Corvett versus a downgraded Stude.

I have to agree here. Very nice execution. I like that he held to the Regal door panel design and resisted the "everybody's-gotta-have-'em" embossed door panels that are all-pervasive in the "Custom" car arena these days.
My only question is: how hard would it be to have a hot Stude engine in place of the Corvette motor? Other'n that, I have no qualms with how it's done.

heh - Dick - makes me wanna go save that little Salmon-colored hardtop that was sitting where you got that Biz coupe.[]
