  • 50 Champion vacuum advance

Does anyone have a good vacuum advance unit for a 50 Champion with an Autolite IAT4001 distributor. I can use either a good used or an NOS part. Bud

I believe, back in those days at least, vacuum advance canisters fit more that one make of car. I have seen catalogs with illustrations of various vacuum advances and their specifications. If you are lucky enough to have an old time auto parts store in your area they may have a catalog you can look at.
Many of the chain auto parts stores have the catalogs, but the employees often don't know how to find anything unless it is in the computer. I know that my brother helps guys around here find parts at Orielly, but the younger guys he works with aren't as helpful. Lots of people ask for him when they come in the store.
