      ALCO never changed their styling much. My refinery has one of their switchers with about the same front profile. Still working, every darn day.

      Plant Manager, Walter P. Chrysler.
      And, wrong thread! -- they merged with Worthington in 1964, making them, in '67...a Studebaker!

        Alco made some very fast cars. Looks like that truck's only concession to speed is the "rakish" angle of the steering column!

            They do look rather "slick" don't they! D'you think the Alco has a lower centre of gravity than the Reliance considering the engine appears to be under the floor rather than under the seat as on the Reliance? Should improve the Alco's cornering ability, maybe? Wonder what the 0 to ...... um....15 mph time is?
