    John, those Virginia antique auto plates are weird aren't they? They are a piece of aluminum, with stickers for letters and numbers, they look homemade.

            Speaking of Historic/Classic tags.....at least, after
            all the frustration with registration is over with, AZ
            provides you with ones that are solid copper and boy
            do they ever shine....

                The wide whites really make the car. Well worth it IMHO.

                I did the same thing with my '63 Hawk. Couldn't help myself and kept spending money. I don't regret it [8D].

                    Glen, the copper plates are in remembrance of the copper plates that Arizona used as a general issue plate between the years of 1932 and 1934. A few years after that, the plates were steel but painted with a metallic copper paint. Those plates from the early '30's are highly collectable with those into plate collecting.

                    I've seen the antique plates and they are, IMHO, the best looking vintage plate there is.

                      Glen, the copper plates are in remembrance of the copper plates that Arizona used as a general issue plate between the years of 1932 and 1934. A few years after that, the plates were steel but painted with a metallic copper paint. Those plates from the early '30's are highly collectable with those into plate collecting.

                            No the odometer works normally, but I half expected the wide white would install themselves if I just put them near Christine.
                            BTW, the interior is factory, it still had the factory numbers on the underside.
