All Battery/Electric supply houses like Interstate, and all Auto Parts Stores either have them or can order them.

The issue is whether they have a powerful enough one with enough Cold Cranking and Cranking Amps to turn a full sized Engine or not, because most Group 1, 6 Volt Batteries like yours are used in old 4 Cyl. forklifts and VWs with less need for high cranking AMPS.

That is why a Tractor Supply was suggested.

Tractor places. Also, if you are not too concerned with authenticity when driving it, use a 6 volt Optima battery. Of course, the best solution would be to have a 6 volt Optima hidden inside an absolutely authentic looking rectangular period battery box (Willard?)

Your friendly John Deere dealer has them also. John Deere used 2 six volt batteries wired in series to get 12 volts clear into the 1980's.

If it was I, it would be Optima all the way.

Everyone has there own opinion. I would never use an "Optima" in anything!
Just had some bad experiences to date. So I don't use them anymore.
Napa for your 6 volt battery.
