I finally got an overdrive transmission for my 63 Lark. I got the tranny and assorted everything related from a 61 Hawk. After studying all of the searched archives and looking at schematics till my eyes crossed, I noticed that 58-61 cars used only the kickdown switch to power the O/D solenoid. Is this how I should wire my car or should I incorporate a relay? I have no problem wiring in a relay but the kickdown only system is really simple. Any and all opinions are appreciated.
