      Barry,
Is the trans actually NOS? Rebuilt? If rebuilt, what was replaced?

Is that an aluminum case T-10?

I read his ad to say it is an original new trans. removed when new! [:0]
The cases were painted aluminum silver and were cast iron. But I am not there with a magnet either! [:0]

QUOTE:"The car was never driven before the four speed parts were removed. All the parts are new."

I will try to clarify as requested..

I purchased the car last year and it had been 'body off' restoration by the previous owner.

Every mechanical part on the car has been replaced or upgraded with NOS or repo and the car was about 90 % finished.

It was originally built as a powershift car, and the prev owner converted it to 4 speed with all new/nos parts.

It is not an original new transmission removed when new,.. it has just never been driven since the new conversion was done several years ago. It would be a rebuild, not an original, and it appears to be a total rebuild, as per the rest of the car..

The tail shaft is aluminum and the main body case is cast and painted aluminium

            Shoot...
Most of my 'installation kits' were complete Stude's (for parts)
